Fourth of July/Six Weeks Old!

Rian is six weeks old this week.  We had a great weekend celebrating the 4th of July up at the beach house with family.

Saturday was a really nice day, so the boys decided to tackle a big project: ripping out all the landscaping in the front yard.  This area had just become a mess, since we don't have much time to maintain it.  So we ripped it out and are going to try to come up with a more low maintenance option... I'm thinking Rock Garden... lol.
While they were digging they found this plastic snake, that, from afar, looked convincingly real

Regan named the snake  "Wormy" and proceeded to play with it for the rest of the afternoon

The fourth of July was beach house day, and Aunt LuAnn and Uncle Mark graciously hosted us all again.  We always have fun at the beach, but this year was the first year that Regan wanted to spend most of her time in the sand & water.

Here is a cute little comparison picture of Kevin and Regan now, and Kevin and Regan at OBX last May

When Kyle got there he was in the house, and Regan went up to him and said, "Kyle want to play on the beach with me?  I'm a nice girl.  Hold my hand - come on!".  It was sooo cute!
Daddy and Uncle Colin buried her in the sand
Here is another comparison - Regan on the fourth this year, and Regan on the fourth last year.  What a difference a year makes!

We really had a fun weekend, but the kids were so tired after a long day in the sun, we never made till fireworks time.  Luckily the wait at the bridge was practically non-existent, so we got home and everyone crashed.

Today in Grandma Judy's birthday!  Happy Birthday Grandma Judy!  We will be celebrating with her this weekend!
