Happy 1st Birthday Regan!

Today was the long awaited day!  Regan's first birthday!
I can't believe that one year ago we went to the hospital to start a new chapter of our lives as parents.  What a year it was been!  Thank goodness this was our last time doing the bear pictures, because we could not get her to sit still to save our lives!  This was the best picture we could get:
Today Regan had her one year doctors appointment, (yes I took her to the doctor on her birthday, and yes, she got vaccines...don't judge me.)  Besides being perfect as a peach, here are Regan's one year stats:
Weight: 19# 3oz - 20%
Height: 29.5" - 65%
Head Circ: 17.5" - 30%
All of her values were just about the same as last time, so that was great too.  After the doctors, we went home and took a loooong nap:

Then we had some fun enjoying the sunshine, and we to visit Great Grandma Flo for a while.  Her favorite thing to do at home now is stand at the door and wave to all the cars that go by and say "dada".  She thinks that every car that drives by is Kevin, and she gets so excited when he actually pulls in the driveway.
When daddy came home, we gave her some presents to open.  She got a splash mat for the summer, and the Fisher Price Farm.  She loved the farm.  She keeps picking up the sheep and saying "ahhhhhhhh" (her noise for baaaah). Too cute.
Later, Uncle Colin, Grandma & Great Grandma came over and we had a small ice cream cake.  Regan kept pointing to the candle saying "hot", then tried to blow it out.
When I offered Regan a piece of cake, she wasn't sure if she was supposed to eat it at first, but as soon she figured out she could, she went hog wild!
After a much needed bath, we wound down the day with some of her favorite books.  All in all, I think it was a perfect birthday day.  I can't wait for her big party on Sunday, she is going to have so much fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here is Regan is all of her Irish gear.  Her little doll is a "Bonny Lass" from Ireland.

Grandma has some pictures on her camera of Regan eating Corned Beef at her house.  I will post them as soon as I get them.  She really liked all the Irish food; today she ate her first helping of Shepherds Pie too!

Now that Regan has officially got the crawling thing down, all she wants to do is get into trouble and play with things she's not supposed to play with.  For example:
The cat bed.  I found her just lounging in it, relaxing.

Also, today we got a package from Aunt Rachel in Georgia containing some birthday presents for the bean.  I can't believe that this time next week my baby will be ONE YEAR OLD!!  Here are some pictures of her opening her gifts (yes I let her open them early):
Thanks Rachel! (and Mike & Giulianna too!)

That last picture is me asking "how old are you?", she proudly displays one finger...it's too cute.

OK, so it's time to switch things up here in the blog. For Regans 2nd year of life we will change the background.  So I have a few to choose from.  Leave a comment and let me know which one you prefer:

Big Development Day

Today was a big day for Regan...not only did she pull up to a stand for the first time by herself, but she is actually starting to crawl!  After months of rolling to get around, she finally decided that things were worth crawling to get at.  Her targets are mostly the cats, and the remote control.  I tried to get pictures and video of everything, and I think I was successful.  I will post them when I get more time, because in addition to the evolving motor skills, Regan has also decided to drop her second nap...:(

Snow Day

Yesterday we took Regan out in her sled for the first time, she loved it!  Kevin ran around the yard pulling her, and she was all smiles.  It was short lived though, because the snow was not very conducive to pulling the sled around, and Regan can't move very well in her bunting.
