This Week: Regan Smiles!

This week, our little bean has been a girl on the go.  Places to go and people to see, making appearances at family social events all week.  Mom has also spent a few hours staked out with the camera trying to capture the ever elusive smile.

Regans first real smile came in the afternoon on Friday when mommy held her up to the mirror, and she saw mom in the reflection.  It was so cute!  Ever since I have been trying to catch a picture of it.
Lately Regan has been trying to reach for things to touch while sitting in her chair, or playing on the floor.  So Mom and Dad wanted to make it easier by placing her toys next to her, and hanging links from the bar.  Things did get a bit crowded after a while, and Regan decided all she really wanted to do was chew in her bears ear.
Thursday night we went out to dinner with the entire family to celebrate Aunt Kays (Great-Great Aunt Kay's) 90th birthday.  We went to Shimshacks - a rib place up in Pendelton, NY.  Regan was really good the whole time, and everyone was there to help hold and distract her.
Here is a picture of the first two members of the Regan Jean fan club!  Uncle Mark and Patrick serve as President and Vice Pres respectively.  If given the opportunity, I think they really would steal her.
In other news, when she naps during the day she can do it in ther "big girl" crib now.  I layed her in there while she was still drowsey the other day, and out she went.  She took a nice long nap in the crib and Mom got a few things accomplished around the house!  Yay!
Friday Grandma and Grandpa Kerl came over to watch Regan while Mom and Dad got the opportunity to go out for dinner.  It sounded like a good idea, but we choose to go the the Pancake House because it was close and we wouldn't be gone long.  I just didn't want to leave her for more than an hour or two.  She slept the whole time we were gone anyway.  It was still fun because then we all got to watch a movie (Slumdog Millionare- it's good!  See it if you haven't!)

On Saturday, the tour of appearences continued when we went out to the nursing home for Great-Grandma Jackies birthday.  We had a big pizza party in a private room, and Jackie got to meet her Great Granddaughter for the first time.
So we've kept you waiting long enough... here it is... the smile.  I waited forever to catch it, and she delivered.  Of course it promptly turns to a frown after I make a big deal about the smile... oh well.
