7 Months Old!
Yesterday Regan turned seven months old! Where has the time gone?
Seven months used to seem like such a long stretch of time to me. Now looking back on how far we've come with Regan in seven months, it seems like we brought her home yesterday and started on this crazy journey we call "parenthood". Now, more than ever, do I realize that this first year of her life will be gone all to quick. But we can't wait for what's to come.

Pumpkin Patch
30 weeks!
Well Saturday was the only day we could go to the Pumpkin Patch, so besides the fact that it was 40 degrees out, it could have been better. We came, we saw, we ate, we picked some pumpkins and left!
It was way too cold to stick around and look at all the fun stuff. I really wanted to get some pictures of Regan sitting in the pumpkins, but it was too chilly to move her from her nice warm BundleMe cover. She did, however, look very festive in the hat and sweater that Great Aunt Joanne made for her.
These pictures will have to do for this year. Regan seemed quite overwhelmed with all the the kids running around, and the farm animals and rides... not to mention the towers of pumpkins. She had very little interest in looking at the animals, so we just picked out two good pumpkins and beat it out of there...and went to Starbucks for Pumpkin Spice Lattes instead. Better luck next year when she can run around and be a part of the chaos.

28 Weeks
This week, Regan successfully held her sippy cup with two hands all by herself! Now she drinks her water from it pretty well. Sometimes she just likes to chew on the spout and it spills everywhere!
Here's Regan with Great Grandma Flo and Grandma Gannon
Regan loves to play and sit up now. We are looking for some good toys that she can sit up and play with without much facilitation... we're open to suggestions and donations! :)
In other news, Mom went to Syracuse for Cheri's baby shower today, and Regan will have a little playmate next month! That means that today was Daddy's first day taking care of Regan with no help! They went shopping together, he gave her 3 bottles and fed her 3 meals, and NO DUCT TAPE was involved! That means he did better than Grandpa Pat did the first time he watched me by himself. Way to go Daddy!

27 Weeks
This week Regan is 27 weeks old! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. Everyday is something new that she discovers she can do; we are constantly amazed.
This week Regan has really mastered sitting up on her own. She is very steady now and can easily play and sit by herself. She loves to sit in her crib and play peek-a-boo with her bunny. She lifts it up over her eyes, then moves it quickly and waits for you to yell "peek-a-boo!". It's too cute!

Regan's culinary escapades also continued this week. So far she has mastered: Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Bananas, Peas, Pears, Green Beans, Squash, Blueberries, Chicken and Turkey. Next on the Menu: Beets! Here is a picture of our adventures with blueberries:
Another popular form of entertainment lately is daddy singing to Regan. No not lullabies, he likes to sing the "Chicken Dance" song. She sings it and bounces her on his lap, and she laughs hystericaly. It's so cute to watch.
More updates next week!

26 Weeks
This week Regan learned to sit up by herself, no help needed... until she falls over. Here she is sitting up unsupported for the first time!
She actually does really well sitting on her own, and when she gets a little off balance you can see her correcting herself by leaning the other way. However, she still hasn't mastered being able to look up at someone without falling over. Here she is playing with her toys all by herself.
It was a little chilly here this week, so much so that Regan had to wear the hoodie Grandma Judy got her from the Outer Banks!
This morning we went to the Doctors for her 6 month check up. They kept telling me that she was "perfect". Everything is right on cue. We got the OK to start stage 2 foods, including meat, and to start her on a sippy cup. Here were Regan's stats for todays appointment:
Also Regan continues to have fun in her new chair. We have decided to put it in the living room, so we can take her "_ month old" pictures there with her bear. Regan's not the only one enjoying the chair, Mr. Mo is in on the action as well.
We took some pictures yesterday before and during bath-time too. Regan loves bubble baths, and tries to eat the bubbles, much to mom and dad's dismay. She also loves to chew on the washcloth.

25 Weeks
This week has been pretty laid back for us. No family parties, no day trips. Here are a few photos from this past week.
Swinging in her swing
Checking out her new chair that Great Grandma Flo bought her. She loves it! (Pita likes is too!)
Here Regan is doing her best impression of Santa Claus
This game is called "Let's see if we can flood the Kitchen!"
Regan won.
Daddy broke down and got Regan a "Sophie", here she is playing with it for the first time
Next week is Regan's 6 month Doctors appointment! I will post an update then!

Another Weekend, Another Family Party
This week we had another weekend party up at the beach house in Canada. We started a tradition last year of getting together with the Italian/Canadians near the end of the summer, and hope to continue it next year too. Once again Regan was not fond of the crowds but she did a little better this time. We even got her in the water for the first time, and she really enjoyed it. We even got to see Jochen Hecht from the Sabres, vacationing at the Canoe Club next door.

Here is Regan hanging out with Grandma at the beach
Uncle Colin and Daddy enjoying the view
On Sunday we took a drive down to Ellicottville to do some research for the family genealogy project I have tasked myself with. We went and took pictures of the headstones of some of my relatives in the Holy Cross Cemetery. My Great-Great-Great-Great Grandparents are buried their along with the triple, double and single greats. After that we walked around the town, and had dinner at the Ellicottville Brew Pub...yum.
Today we went to Grandma and Grandpa Kerls house for the day.
We took a nap with Grandpa
Hung out on the porch with Dad while Grandpa was grilling
AND we went next door to visit the baby Donkey, "Pedro"
Pedro was so excited to see Regan that he dipped under the fence and came out of his pasture to say "hi". We fed Fig Newton's to him and his mom and dad. It was a very exciting day.
Here are some more pictures from this week:
Peas for the first time!
Aunt Stephanie got Regan a new book about Curious Georges Halloween
